Livia Carpenter is the KITS Co-Clinical Director. She has been with the organization since 2008. Livia provides support and problem solving help for kids and parents participating in the KITS program. She collaborates with the teachers, facilitators and site supervisors to ensure all involved are successful.
Livia has a passion for working with kids from high risk backgrounds, which began when working with foster children prior to coming to OSLC. When she is not inspiring those she works with, she reads, tries new recipes, makes art, and really enjoys a good, whole-hearted belly laugh.
What does Livia think about the KITS program?
“I love the dedication the KITS teams bring to their work every year: building skills through scaffolding and reinforcement with these tiny humans and their caregivers. The focus on children’s and family’s strengths (rather than deficits) and everyone’s ability to grow and learn is so important.”
What’s her favorite children’s book?
“The Hounds of the Morrigan by Pat O’Shea.”
